Final Evaluation

My work has developed strongly, originally I began working with actual frames containing subjects that were there but as my research went on I worked on controlling the frame and subject. My research into Flornece Henri is highly important in regards to my progression as her work is what influenced me into controlling the frame and creating images where the subject was edited. It was from there that I went on to the work of Ben Heine and his 'Pencil vs Camera' series where he created the frame and subject to create a perfectly framed image. Although my work does not use any drawings on paper being held up in front of a camera it does link to his idea of creating frame and subject.

My long exposure frames show how I created the frame and then chose my subject and put it into the frame. The frames which existed shoot shows how I chose the subject more and how I chose each frame and how to use it. My first preparatory shoot links to this final shoot as it contains pre-existing frames but the major difference being that with my second final shoot I chose the subjects. The preparatory shoots that were influenced by florence Henri link more to my first final shoot as she controlled the frame and used a mirror to control the subject but with my shoot I controlled the frame and then edited the subject in to create images that reflect her style but also progress in there own way.

My response works well in responding to the exam paper as all images focus on the frame and the priority of each image is the frame and subject within it. However I would have liked to explore more traditional framing devices including things like the rule of thirds.
